Download StatusRivet ↗

This is the official download of StatusRivet 2.9.26, the original build for Windows 10/11. The button gives setup. The button on this page gives you the setup program of about 34 MB, the installer build with auto-updates. Install it on the machine where you build and test your own software, then read the notes below before the first run. The page also explains how to check the file, what the app needs, and how updates arrive, so nothing in the first hour is a surprise for you or for the people who share your lab.

  1. Press the download button to save the setup program, about 34 MB, to your computer. The button redirects to the installer and records the visit as described on the privacy page.
  2. Compare its SHA-256 checksum with the published manifest, using the command in the verification section below, before you open the file.
  3. Run the setup program. The installer is not code-signed yet, so if SmartScreen warns, choose More info and then Run anyway, only after the checksum matches.
  4. Open the app, connect a model (a cloud AI provider, a model on your PC or the built-in model), and choose the project folder you want to work in.
Before you begin

You do not need an account to run StatusRivet. If you connect a cloud AI provider, that provider may charge you separately under its own terms, and StatusRivet is independent of it. The app has no telemetry. Chats, working folders and API keys stay on your PC, and prompts go only to the model endpoint you pick. Use the app only on software you wrote or are authorised to debug, and prefer a lab or test machine for anything that changes system settings.

System requirements

StatusRivet runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit (x64). You need a model. The setup program is about 34 MB, and a portable single .exe of about 25 MB also exists, but the button on this page gives the setup program. The app interface comes in 13 languages. You need a model: a cloud AI provider endpoint, a model running on your PC, or the built-in model, which is ready to use without your own endpoint. A cloud AI provider needs a network connection, and so do web search and page fetching. Working environments are local Windows, WSL and SSH to a server you own. For debugging work you also need your own build command, test command and debugger on the machine where the program runs, because StatusRivet runs those tools and reads their text output instead of replacing them.

Updates

New versions are published automatically, and the installer build enables auto-updates. Updates arrive automatically. When a new version is ready, the app shows an Update button; click it to move to the latest release. This website currently describes version 2.9.26, released on 2 Nov 2026, and that is the version the button gives you today. Because the installer is not code-signed yet, compare the checksum of every new download with the published manifest as well.

Verify the download

Windows
certutil -hashfile "C:\Users\you\Downloads\<downloaded file>.exe" SHA256

Run the command above in a Windows command prompt, replacing the path with the real location of the file you downloaded, and compare the printed SHA-256 value with the one in the published manifest. Compare the values. If they differ, do not run the file; download it again from this page. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info and then Run anyway only after the checksum matches. After installation, the Send feedback button inside the app is the way to report a problem, a wrong answer or a missing detail on this page.
